Les Allues is the valley's historic village, the one that existed before Peter Lindsay founded the Méribel ski resort in 1938. Situated at an altitude of 1100m, it's a very pleasant place to live, with everything you need to enjoy a week's skiing: mini-market, ski shop, restaurant, etc. The Olympus cable car gives you direct access to La Chaudanne, or you can take the free shuttle bus up to Méribel. The cable car is 500m away and the bus stop is 400m away.
The free shuttle bus makes it easy to get around the valley. It runs every 15 minutes at the beginning and end of the day.
